Helping Florida Residents Fight Traffic Tickets for a Good Cause

If your heavy foot has gotten you on the "naughty list," let's work together to get you back on the "nice list."

Update 12/21

We are pleased to see that people seemed to speed less over the last few weeks! Still, we were able to raise $500.00 from traffic citation defense. On behalf of our clients, friends, and the employees of Aaron Delgado & Associates, we are pleased to donate $500.00 to both the

And, yes, the math does not add up. The Firm decided to round up. While we really wished we had raised more money, we recognize this is a two-edged sword and are also glad people did not get ticketed.

Driving is one of the most dangerous things we do. Our personal injury department has helped severely injured people try to put back together their lives and their health because of traffic accidents (and many other kinds of injuries, including workplace injuries). Our criminal defense team has defended people facing prison time because of reckless driving. So we are glad to see everyone being safer! This holiday season everyone please be safe - buckle up, obey the rules of the road, get off the cell phone, and no matter how much Christmas Cheer you have - never drink and drive. Happy holidays to one and all from Aaron Delgado & Associates, your community law firm since 2004!

It is a sad reality that this holiday season many of our citizens will struggle, not just with the usual holiday juggling act, but with things many of us take for granted, such as food and shelter. Central Florida has a shocking number of homeless children and families, working folks who cannot afford anything extra this time of year, and countless others who are in need of help.

Our Firm is founded on the defense of liberties and protecting rights, but rights are of little comfort to an empty stomach. That is why we have started a new tradition which aims to raise money for less fortunate families in our community this holiday season. Whether it is a hot meal, a safe place to sleep, or the only toy a child may get, we will have helped, and by involving our clients, we are bringing together our community at a time when we need it the most!

We encourage any other firms in the area to join us in this endeavor and pool our resources for holiday donations!

Holiday Fundraiser

Operation: Naughty to Nice

As part of our new holiday tradition, we are pleased to announce our first annual Operation: Naughty to Nice fundraiser. For a donation as low as $50, our team of experienced trial lawyers will aggressively fight your traffic ticket and we will donate every cent earned to a good cause.

How it Works

If you have been issued a traffic citation between October 15, 2018 and November 30th, 2018, and we determine the citation qualifies*, our Firm will donate 100% of the attorney's fee collected in fighting your traffic ticket.

Who Will Benefit?

This year, the proceeds will provide what many of us take for granted to families in need throughout the following counties:

  • Volusia County
  • Flagler County
  • St. Johns County
  • Putnam County

Once we have raised all of the funds, the community will vote on which of several charitable options we will fund.

Name Your Price Donation

If you have a qualifying* traffic ticket, you name your price to have an experienced ticket lawyer fight your traffic ticket and have 100% of your price donated to a good cause.

We will accept any donation over $50 for cases that do not involve injury or extremely high speed. However, we recommend a minimum donation of $150, which is what we normally charge for a traffic ticket, and encourage clients to consider donating $250 or more in the giving spirit of the season.

Fighting Your Traffic Ticket

In all other regards, the legal representation you receive will be the same as it always is. There are many consequences to receiving a traffic violation in Florida, from fines and points on your license, to increased insurance costs, to potential license suspension. If you have received a traffic ticket this holiday season, our team of trial attorneys is here to help you fight your ticket. We aim to win and do our best every time. Call us today at 386-255-1400 to discuss how we may be able to help you and your eligibility for this fundraiser.

Tax Deductible Charity Alternatives

Currently, we do not have a foundation or 501(c)(3) entity to allow for tax-deductible contributions. We want to make sure everyone understands we are not a charity and are a for-profit business that is making a decision to donate legal fees earned this holiday season.

If you want to participate using a tax deductible charity, we may accept a mutually agreed upon contribution made to a local charity as set out in our representation agreement. For example, you can contract with our Firm where we will represent you upon timely proof of a donation in an agreed upon amount to the First Step Shelter.

Here are some of the local charities we suggest:

NOT A BINDING OFFER

This post does not create a binding offer. If you are interested in participating, you must contact our office to determine how we can help you. We hope everyone will participate in the spirit of compassion, not just to get a cheap price on a traffic ticket.

INTERPRETING THIS POST

Nothing about this post should be interpreted as being anything other than an announcement of the Firm's intention to donate money to charity and determine the amount of the contribution by setting it equal to funds raised in a certain period from a certain type of legal work. This metric may be changed by the Firm at any time for any reason so long as the change is for the benefit of the community (i.e. we may agree to a multiplier, to extend the duration of the event, or to include other areas of law).

CITATION QUALIFICATION

*The decision on whether a citation qualifies is entirely at the Firm's discretion and we reserve the right to decline representation for any reason including conflicts of interest. Only non-criminal infractions will be considered.

NOT AN OFFICIAL CHARITY

This is not an official charity and it is not tax deductible. The law firm is donating the money we "earn" and may donate it to a 501(c)(3) entity or may give it any local organization(s) as we see fit. The Firm has no financial stake in any charity and receives nothing in exchange for donations, except the Firm may receive tax benefits from this action. However, we do promise, and will contractually agree, that the entire legal fee, less any credit card processing fees, will be donated and not retained.
